Authentic Personal Leadership Talk/Workshop by Sarjit Singh‏

On the 6^th of July, 2014 from 7:30pm- 10:00pm we had successfully held the Authentic Personal Leadership Workshop presented by Sarjit Singh at Kotra Pharma (M) Sdn Bhd Auditorium located in Melaka. Before the talk starts, all participants had the Buka Puasa dinner (and drinks) together with Muslim members and Muslim friends. The talk was then started at around 8.00pm. 

Sarjit Singh is a much sought after dynamic and interactive speaker, trainer, and peak performance coach. The presentation by Dr. Sarjit was motivated, learner centered, thought provoking, awareness raising and high energy.  He made the workshop so much fun by plugging in interesting activities. The session was interactive, informative and inspiring.

We had a great group of participants and their enthusiasm and positive spirit helped make the time together both productive and fun. It was definitely an interesting and electrifying event!

Installation and Meeting at Queenspark Hotel on 03/07/2014

We have had a great meeting session and installation night on the 3rd of July, 2014 at Queenspark Hotel! The turnout was great and there were a great group with so much enthusiasm and positive spirit helped make our time together both productive and fun. 

We are glad to have our installation session well conducted by our Division A Governor, Distinguish Toastmaster Debra Watters at the beginning of the meeting. While we give our thanks to the dedicated outgoing EXCO with Andrea Finta at the helm,we warmly welcome the new EXCO of Malacca Toastmasters Club led by Erik Wee.

The next Toastmaster of the Evening is our incoming club President : Erik Wee, CC., and he has chosen the meeting theme to be  " "Listening is essential in life"       In his on words : It was said that Man has been created with Two Ears and A Mouth, indicting that we should never forget the importance of listening , while expressing our words.      It the era of (e-) information boom, most of us have been placed in a position of information overload, which remains one of the reasons that Good Listening has become more and more 'Expensive'.        Situations like, Leader(s) not listening well enough to team-mates; Husband/Wife not paying good attention to his/her spouse's expression; Child complaining that his/her parents hardly spend time listening to him/her, are more than common, indicating the 'Quality of Listening' is deteriorating and remains a crucial issue in need of remedy.  In toastmasters, we are not only practicing being a good speaker/communicator by speaking out, we have also learned to be an effective listener by lending our ears to the speaker(s).  _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Meeting date : 5th of June 2014  Theme : Listening is essential in life   TOE : Erik Wee, CC   ASAA: Tan Wee Soon, TM Project Speakers:   1. Meeting on 15 May 2014

We had a full-house meeting on the 15th of May 2014 with Jeffery Lee, ACG,   as our Toastmaster of the Evening.

The meeting started with an Invocation session by Kamala Nair, ACS,CL. Followed by induction of new members by our VPM, Tan Mei Fang, CC.
